The Corellian Order

Dear COGs!

This is a sad day for our guild. Recently I have noticed that almost all our members belong to the inactive category. Even myself and many other high ranking officers in our guild have become inactive. This as a result has had a negative consequence for the guild, namely that it's pretty much dead.

It may sound harsh, but it is the truth. But even with it I have to say that the Corellian Order will NOT disband. Instead myself and Mikhail have agreed that we are calling a temporary notice of inactive upon the entire guild. Guild leadership will remain in Fayle's hands and Mikhail will remain in the guild to check in whenever he has time.

Fayle herself will be taking her alt char Ah'ri to another guild, namely the Kavar Academy. This leaves our members for a choice. You are more than welcome to remain in this guild and wait for the time that it comes back to life, or join Ah'ri in the new guild. For those who wish to stay behind, I will be enabling guild invites for all ranks, meaning if you want to you can invite people.

I will continue to daily monitor this site, so if you do invite people make sure that they know about this. Any individuals who rise as leaders will be granted the rank of Council Member so they can slowly but surely rebuild the Order if they wish to do so.

Now this does mean that Fayle will not be the active guildleader, but she will not step down from the position of official guildmaster. I hope that this means the guild, if it happens, will grow to be more independant of its leaders, giving Fayle and Mikhail the overseeing role that guildmasters tend to have in well working guilds.

I hope that you see this not as a disband, but as a temporary pause function of the guild. Since neither Fayle or Mikhail currently have the time and ability to lead this guild to where it should be, this is the best solution we could find that does not put too many negative consequences on our members.

Dear COGs! (You know what that means by now)

Here's another update about what our guild's been up to, and I (Fayle) believe that it's important enough to post as a textblock.

Thing is, our guild's been slowly running dry. Some of our members have been leaving, roleplay has gotten a lot less. Even the guildmasters have become the thing where an elusive glimpse has become the most prized confirmation of their existence. Of course that's exaggerated but we are having a bit of a valley moment in what is the horizon of our guild.

The main reason for that probably is the absence of the founding GM Fayle. She is currently going through a really rough patch in her real life, causing her to have a lot less time to play TOR. (Which is a really strange thing to type considering Fayle is the person writing this out.)

Mikhail has therefor recently taken over as acting GM and has done his very best to keep the guild afloat, and I would like to thank him for that. Now Fayle herself is still working on getting herself back on her feet before she can focus on the guild again, but be patient and as soon as she recovers the Corellian Order will be as strong as it used to be!

If you however need to get hold of Fayle herself you can post a thread in the Jedi Temple section since Fayle checks the forums daily, regardless if she came online in game or not.

Now you might wonder as to why there is so little roleplay going on anymore. The reason for that probably is, Fayle and Mikhail (together with other very prominent members like Alkor, Hallele and several others) have become sortoff the bedrock of our guild's main RP story, and without them being able to work together things have come to a stop. This however should not be incentive to stop RPing, which guides us neatly to our next point!

Start doing more RP on your own! Which I do not mean to say in a bad or angry way. But if you want some roleplay done, get on your feet and make it happen. Organise events and get people to play them out, don't be discouraged if at first the attendance is a bit low, but any effort will be noticed and counted for! Don't be afraid to work together with other people, having fun and being friends is a group effort and hopefully we can do more of this with all the people from the guild.

Lastly I'd like to mention that Hallele has returned from her holidays and several new promising members have shown up and joined the guild. So a welcome back to a beloved friend and a welcome to the club for all those newcomers who inspire hope in the hearts of the hopeless! Aka the GMs who can't get their shit sorted Nah not true on that last bit, but it is refreshing to see "young blood" partaking in the guild and providing the example for others to follow! Job well done!

Hello my fellow COGs! (Corellian Order Guildmembers!)

As you can see we have a brand new site, representing our guild's growth, enthousiasm and gentle nature. I hope that you will browse our forums, read our story in the Guild News and simply enjoy being a part of our community!

Now for other news... As you know twice a week our guild has our Guild RP event. These of course will stay unchanged. But for those people who want to do more than just roleplay with our own guild, there's a fledgling RP community forming on our server. Simply type /cjoin Republicrp in your ingame chat and hit enter! If it doesn't automatically add the channel to your chatbox, simply rightclick your chattab, go to Chat Settings and make sure that at the very bottom of the list the chat channel is ticked on!

As a next item, remember to be active on our forums! Post your backgrounds, post your stories. If you're good at drawing, post some pictures! Anything that expands your character's roleplay image is more than welcome, and will be rewarded by myself (Fayle) and Mikhail (the other GM)!

As for actual guild news. Today our guildmember Navyne succesfully passed her Knight Trials and is now a Jedi Knight of the Corellian Order! Congratulations Navyne for this prestigious achievement! Let's hope that the next Padawan reaching their trials does just as good or maybe even better! Just keep roleplaying, keep having fun and you'll be more than capable of achieving what Jedi Knights Navyne and Hallele achieved before you!

As a final item. We have noticed that our Commander has not been online as often as he should be. Being an officer of the guild being present is rather important, people look up to you and adress you when they have issues. So to make sure we keep our officers present and ready to help you, the first Trooper or Smuggler who gets a rank up will be given the rank of Commander. This is a temporary position, but if they prove capable and worthy of the rank they will remain in office untill somebody else can attain the rank of Commander through the normal means, as listed on our forums!
